WCUFThe Washington Credit Union Foundation’s mission is to support and promote credit union development and credit unions’ commitment to social responsibility.

As the philanthropic arm of the Washington Credit Union League, the Foundation engages in activities designed to benefit credit unions and their communities, including financial literacy education projects, educational development awards, community outreach grants, small credit union development grants, support of Credit Unions for Kids fundraising efforts and disaster relief grants.

Biz Kid$
bizkidsExclusively underwritten by America’s Credit Unions, Biz Kid$ is a PBS series that teaches kids the importance of entrepenurship and financial management skills.

 

Contributors

Community Investment Fund
Interested in investing in the vitality of the credit union movement while continuing to see a return on your corporate investments? Learn more about how your credit union can be a part of the Community Investment Fund.

 

Governance Structure
The Foundation board consists of up to 17 trustees. They are elected to two-year terms by their credit union peers – two trustees in each of the eight geographical districts of the state, as well as the CEO of the Washington Credit Union League.

 

 

 

 

Scholarship Programs
The Foundation provides scholarship grants to help strengthen the state’s credit union community. This section includes on-line and downloadable applications, information on the Foundation’s scholarship funding cycles and eligibility criteria.

 

Grant Programs
The Foundation offers grants for community outreach, consumer education and small credit unions. This section includes on-line and downloadable applications, information on the Foundation’s grant funding cycles and criteria for each of the grant categories.

 

Disaster Relief Fund
The Foundation’s Disaster Relief Fund is accessible year-round. This section includes information on how you can apply for a Disaster Relief Grant.

 

Credit Unions for Kids
The Washington Credit Union Foundation provides promotional and administrative/accounting support for the Children’s Miracle Network, Credit Unions for Kids® program. The 2005 Credit Union for Kids Partnership Impact Report is available for download.
